2. Economic and social affects.
This group are disappointed that ES failed thefarming community by not ensuring the economicstudy was completed & made public prior to the planbeing notified.
Section 32 (of RMA) ^required an evaluation to beprepared prior to the notification [of the plan) andparticular regard given to it when decision to notifythe pSWLP. ES failed to comply with our countrieslegislation by not meeting this obligation. No regardto the economic study was taken when staff wrote theplan! They couldn't as it didn't exist!freleased april2017)^Page 20 s42a report #2.45 schedule 1The Southland economy is reliant on agriculture. Theimplementation of this plan in its current form willhave significant financial impact on the agriculturalsector. ES has obligations under the RMA to ensurethe financial sustainability of southland.
We need to all work together to achieve betterEnvironmental, Economic and Social outcome forsouthland. This group is afraid of being regulated outof operating financially sustainable businesses.
